The Sparr Gallery, found in the upper level, is an invitational gallery, featuring ever-changing exhibits by local and regional artists. This second Gallery was created in 1999 for use by the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association and its members, featured in 3 exhibits during the spring and summer, and for a Winter Gallery held from November 27 to December 4, 1999. Proceeds from the Winter Gallery were donated to the Christine Anne Center in Oshkosh. In 2005, a large collection of original nude artwork was moved from its first location at 101 High to 215 Market, where it remains the largest display of original nude artwork in the city. That exhibit features work by Terry Cramolini, Lawrence Drayton, Aja Apa-Soura, Deena Raybuck, Neal Turner, and many others.
The upper level Sparr Gallery currently features a Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit, soon to be supplemented by additional lithographs of Lautrec work done by master lithographer Salinas, who worked with the Picasso estate to release pieces from that collection never seen before. Memories on Market and the Sparr Gallery are open by appointment-please call us at 920/236-3833. We are also open for the downtown Oshkosh Gallery Walks, sponsored by the Business Improvement District, held on the first Saturday evening of every month, and for other special exhibits, shows, and artist receptions.
